Who actually needs a TDAC?
Every non-Thai national entering Thailand needs a TDAC — tourists, business travellers, and long-term visa holders alike, regardless of age or how long they're staying. This applies whether you're arriving by air, land, or sea. Thai citizens are exempt.
The TDAC is required in addition to, not instead of, any visa or visa exemption your nationality needs. The two are arranged and checked separately, and one doesn't substitute for the other.

What is the Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC)?
It's the online arrival declaration every foreign national must complete before entering Thailand. It replaced the paper TM6 form, collecting your passport, flight and accommodation details before you fly, and returns a QR code you show at immigration.
Do I need a TDAC for Thailand?
Yes, if you're not a Thai citizen. Every foreign national entering by air, land or sea must complete one, regardless of visa status, age, or length of stay. Thai citizens are exempt.
Is the TDAC free?
Yes. It's free on the official Thai Immigration Bureau website. We're an independent assistance service — our fee covers guided help preparing and checking your submission, not the document itself.
Where is the official TDAC website?
The only official site is tdac.immigration.go.th, run by Thailand's Immigration Bureau. Be cautious of lookalike domains — any site charging for the document itself, rather than for assistance, is worth double-checking.
Is there an official TDAC app?
No. There's no official mobile app — it's completed through the official website, or with the help of an assistance service like ours.
When should I complete my TDAC?
Within 72 hours (3 days) before your arrival — the system won't accept earlier submissions. Most travellers complete it the evening before their flight or during a layover.
Does the TDAC replace my Thai visa?
No. It's an arrival declaration, not a visa. If your nationality requires a visa or visa-on-arrival, that's arranged separately, in addition to this.
I'm travelling from the UK — do I still need a TDAC for Thailand?
Yes. UK passport holders get visa-exempt entry for short tourist stays, but that's separate from this — every foreign national needs to complete it regardless of visa-exemption status.
